Honolulu Marathon

On Sunday, about 29,000 people ran the Honolulu Marathon, and about 6,000 people did the 10 km walk. We opted for the walk....in support of our friends who were actually running the marathon. It started at 5:30 a.m. and by 7:30 we were finished...at about the same time as the first place marathoner. And sadly, we felt like we'd just run a marathon.

At least starting at 5:30 a.m. meant that we got to see the Christmas lights throughout Honolulu as well as the sunrise.

Brian Drebert Visits

Brian Drebert came from Langley to Oahu to see U2 and Pearl Jam on Saturday night, so he stayed with us for a couple of days while he was here.

Brian Drebert Visits...Continued

On Saturday morning we went to eat at Boot's and Kimo's....a fabulous restaurant with the best banana pancakes and macadamia nut sauce. As we were waiting for a table, we spotted "Hurley" from Lost, which is filmed near our house here in Hawaii. Drebert and I got a little celebrity-happy and paparazzi-ish, while Bryon just got embarassed by us!

Our booth provided a great view!

Mom and Dad Budensiek's Visit

Brea visited us for a week in November. It was so great to have her here with us, and to explore Oahu together.

Wedding #2 - Hawaii Style

On November 11th, we had our official wedding here in Hawaii. So, we are now legally Mr. and Mrs. Budensiek!! About 20 of our friends joined us at a beach park close to our house where we had a short ceremony followed by a potluck picnic, football and kayaking. We wish you all could have been there to celebrate again with us!
