Grandpa and Grandma Gamache were with us for Halloween this year, so they helped us carve our jack-o-lantern and get Kai ready for his first Halloween experience. As you can see, Kai didn't really love his stuffed ghost, or love wearing his turtle costume but we thought he was pretty cute anyways.
Here is a little look at our lives, starting as a family of two living in Kailua, HI, to a family of three living first in Sandpoint, ID then Portland, OR, to a family of four living in Greeley, CO. What an adventure it is!

Kai's First Week
Kai's first week at home was full of memorable moments...lots of cuddling and napping, first bath, first walk in the stroller, first time to church and some educational reading with dad to name a few.
It was so nice to have my parents here to help out. They cooked, cleaned, and babysat for us as we adjusted to being new parents. What a blessing.

Introductions
A very happy and proud mommy and daddy and Grandpa and Grandma Gamache were there to welcome Kai into the world.
Kai Oliver Budensiek's First Moments
Kai Oliver Budensiek was born at 5:17 p.m. on Tuesday, October 20th. He weighed 8 lb 10 oz. and was 21 inches long....a big, healthy and ever so cute baby boy!
I'd arrived at the hospital with my parents around 2:45 p.m., to discover that I was most definitely in labor! Bryon was at his first day of work with Brian C. Jensen CPA, and was in Coeur D'Alene picking up his new desk. He rushed back as soon as he heard that we were headed to the hospital, and arrived around 3:15. Kai arrived just 2 hours later! What an amazing moment in our lives. We are now a family of three and we couldn't be happier.
First Bath
