Canada - Part 2

For the second half of our trip to Canada, we got to use our timeshare (a gift from Bryon's boss) for a week's stay at Whistler.  So, on Sunday we left Kai with my parents and headed up to Whistler with a quick stop to visit our friend Danielle on the way.  Other friends met us up at Whistler for a day, and other than that we just enjoyed relaxing, sleeping in, drinking uninterrupted cups of coffee/chai, napping, skiing etc.  Despite it being his first time away from both of us at once, Kai didn't seem to miss us at all!  However, I think he wore Grandpa and Grandma out pretty good :)  On Wednesday they all drove up to Whistler to meet us, and then on Thursday we left my parents there to enjoy the last couple days on their own.  Meanwhile we came back to Aldergrove for another quick visit with Jeff, Jenn and family before making the long trek home.

This was Kai's first attempt at skiing this year, and he was not impressed in the least!

Kai was a great cheerleader at Kaden's volleyball game, although he kept calling the net a "fence".  Obviously we need to introduce him to Canadian sports more often.

Canada - Part 1

A couple of weeks ago we traveled to Canada to attend a friends' wedding, celebrate an early Christmas with my family, and, well the rest will come in a later post I think!

Every year we take a picture of the cousins for Grandpa, Grandma and Great-Grandma.

Kai loved all of the bows and concentrated very hard in an attempt to keep them on his head.

 

Emma had a broken foot, but braved the snow in her air-cast anyways.

And then inside for a quick change for the wedding!

Catching Up

I've fallen so behind on blogging, that I finally decided that I just need to do one big "Catch-Up" post.  So, while I sit cozily by the fireplace in Whistler, watching the snow fall outside, I'll catch you up on all the bits and pieces from the past couple of months.

After a long morning of Christmas shopping we took Kai to Mobius, a kids museum in Spokane.  He was enthralled with all of the fun activities.
