June 2015

June, the month of no school, lots of pool time, relaxation, adventures, Father's Day and Anders' first birthday (but we'll leave that for another post).  Also 'twas the month when I decided that Colorado is much too hot in the summer and booked tickets for the boys and I to fly up to B.C. for a couple of weeks.  We leave tomorrow.  Can't wait!

This boy, what can I even say? He has our hearts wrapped around his chubby little finger.
Love this crawl.  Kai did it too.  Must be in our genes somewhere.

Classic Anders!

Breaking in the new kiddie pool.

Anders wasn't too sure about the whole situation.

Not a fan!

This guy on the other hand...

Favorite toy = any ball.

They both think chase is the best activity around.

Some days this is the only way to get dinner made without a screaming magnet on my legs :)

So fun to have friends visit from Alaska.

Anders favorite spot in the house (to destroy).

Kai was looking at the rooms in a Land of Nod catalog and decided he needed to take some pictures of his room.  Here's one of his shots.  I think the Kai (AKA the Pack Rat) might need to work on his room a bit more before it's magazine worthy. :)

This cute guy and I went on a bike to Starbucks date.  So fun!
Another visit to the Denver Museum of Nature and Science.

Meeting Mr. Bones.

Anders' poor face was covered with mosquito bites and bruises from all of his outdoor play.

Checking out how long it would take to bike to Kai's school next year (although we've since changed schools, but we think the new one will be bikable as well).

Sitting at daddy's boss's desk.
Every time we pick Bryon up from work, Kai goes in to get him and makes the rounds to everyone's office.

Visiting the Greeley Model Train Museum with his cousins.

Mixed reviews :)

Getting ready to walk the Strides for Epilepsy 5K.

I got to walk with Anders and these two cuties while Bryon ran.

Scenic detours to check out "craters".

Meanwhile, Anders slept peacefully away.

More scenic detours.  At this point I think we were averaging 30 minute miles :)

I love it when he randomly falls asleep during quiet time.

Cheering on daddy at his softball game.

Starting to take a few steps.

Hard work!

We decided to join Bryon for Greeley's Bike to Work day...mostly for the free breakfast stop along the way :)
Fun with cousins at the beach.

Papa and the babies.

The best part of grocery shopping.

For Father's Day (week), Kai came up with 5 things he thought Bryon would love, wrote them on papers and put them in balloons.  Then each day Bryon got to pop a balloon and either do the activity or have the treat that Kai had chosen.
Here's what Kai included.  1. Watching Sports Center  2.Having a picnic and playing soccer at a park.  3.Eating Lucky Charms  4.Going to Chick Fil A for dinner  5.Eating cherry pie
It was a fun week!

On Father's Day morning I told Bryon that I was taking this picture to post on Facebook along with a sentimental statement about him.  This is the face he made back at me.  #haterofsentimentalfacebookposts Glad we're on the same page :)

Father's day swimming.

Bryon obliged me and let me take some pictures of him with the boys at a mural near our house.
Aren't they cute?  :)
I told them to just stand there while I got ready, and yet there's something I love about this picture.

Pre-Father's Day/friend's birthday ski trip with a couple of friends.
