Camping Olympics

The Inagural Camping Olympics were a success with events such as the tent pole high jump, the tent pole javelin and the long jump. In the end, Mark claimed the gold medal with Bryon in second and Will in third.

Taylor flying high in the high jump. My face says it all, "AWESOME".

Here is me throwing the tent pole javelin, landing a very respectable 2nd place finish.

Here is Christy jumping into first place in the U-35 girls long jump competition.

Soccer Thursdays

Most Thursday's Taylor and I head to Kailua Beach Park for pick-up soccer.

We routinely get outplayed by men and women twice our age. As you can see in this picture, Taylor and I are taking an extended water break while everyone else is still playing in the background.

Mexican Fun at the Perrich's

While we home during July we had the pleasure of heading over to Ryan Perrich's house for some Pinata hitting and a riveting game of telephone pictionary taught to us by Ben Hauser.

Hauser did a good job of making me miss the pinata.

Here we all are at the end of the night.

We were able to see some Summer Colorado snow up on Trail Ridge Road.

Bryon goes to Oregon

Over Memorial day, I was able to fly to Oregon for a little hiking and skiing in Bend with Joe and Kooch. We hiked up the middle sister and had an amazing ski down. I was definitely out of breath coming from sea level. It was great fun.

Joe on the summit of the Middle Sister. "Awwwwright"!

Pan-Pacific Festival

Every year there is a Pan-Pacific festival in Waikiki, with lots of entertainment (mostly Hawaiian and Japanese), as well as many many food booths. It was fun for me to see some Japanese entertainment after having not seen any for the past year.

Day Trip to Kauai

It's been a while since we've posted, but we're back with lots and lots of adventures to share.

A couple of months ago, Bryon surprised me with a trip to Kauai. We left on one of the first flights of the morning and came back late that night. It was fun to see a new island and explore some new places.

Two of the places we got to see were....Wailea Falls and Waimea Canyon aka. "the Grand Canyon of the Pacific". Both were amazing and beautiful.

"Our" dog...

This is our landlord's dog, Alex, who likes to come and hang out in our place whenever she gets the chance. Originally, I thought she just really liked me and Bryon, but yesterday our landlord told us that the previous tenant had a drawer full of treats for Alex and that's why she always comes down here. Sad! I guess Bryon and I will have to step it up.
