When Bryon's parents offered to fly us down to Colorado for Easter we jumped at the chance for a little vacation post tax season, and a whole weekend to spend with family in the mountains. I was slightly worried about taking Kai on the plane, with him being a very active 1 1/2 year old, but he did awesome! Our flight there was completely full, so he had to sit on our laps for the entire 2 1/2 hours, but he was a total champ. He loved looking out the window, chatting with the little boy behind us, and playing with the various toys I'd brought along. A few friends had told me beforehand that the noise of an airplane would probably make him really mellow and maybe even make him fall asleep (right!). Neither of those things happened...he was still very excited with all of his new surroundings, but at least he was happy! Then, Gramma and Papa took us to Chick-Fil-A upon arrival, where he got to run off lots of steam in their play area :)
We had a great rest of the weekend, celebrating Easter, skiing, sledding, shopping and we were also able to see a few of Bryon's friends from highschool. It was a great vacation!

| I brought along several plastic Easter eggs filled with little animals and cars, which I doled out at intervals throughout the plane ride. Kai loved them, and entertained the plane with many "moos" and "baaas" :) |
| The Etch-a-Sketch also proved to be a great plane toy. |
| Our friends the Swishers/Johnstons invited us over for dinner so that we could meet their sweet kids Jane and Henry. Kai and Jane actually did quite well playing together despite them both being anti-opposite sex right now! |

| Okay, maybe not quite so impressed with each other at this moment! |
| Bryon commented that Jane was lighter than Kai, despite being 9 months older. Yes, our kid is pretty hefty. |
| Bryon and his dad went on a little ski excursion to Hidden Valley on Sunday afternoon. |
| Kai loved his Easter egg hunt. |

| On our way home, Kai got his own seat and loved it (as did we!). Here he is sharing his strawberries with "Bear Bear". |
| We had one very tired little boy by the time we reached Spokane. |

Love the pictures! It was so great to see you and finally meet Kai! :)
