Canada - July/August 2015

Way back in May or June the weather got much too hot and buggy here in Greeley, and so we delved into our airmiles and booked a trip to Canada for me and the boys.  We spent almost two weeks there and had such a relaxing and fun time with my family.  Not only did we get to see Grandpa, Grandma, Great-Grandma, Uncle Jeff, Aunty Jenn and the cousins, but my cousin Kathy and her husband and two kids came out for part of the time as well.  There's not a much better way to spend the summer than that.

I got lots of early morning snuggles with this guy.
Wrestling matches with Grandpa.

Farm life!

Anders was thrilled to try out his relatively new walking skills with plenty of room to roam.

Anders, our animal lover.

A fun (for some!) game of "crack the dino egg".

Silly brothers found a new favorite game :)
The whole family spent the day at Science World in Vancouver, which was especially exciting because of their dinosaur exhibit.

This activity was another big hit!

Tired boy after a long and exciting day.

Sweet second (once removed? I never get how that all works) cousins.  They disappeared from the yard one afternoon and when I went to find them they were reading in Grandma and Grandpa's cabin.

Smashing the ice for homemade ice-cream.

Anders loved Grandpa's silly "Humpty Dumpty".

So much fun with the cousins in the pool.
Kai earned several treats from Uncle Jeff with all of his new pool tricks.

Visiting Great Grandma for the July birthday celebration at her condo.  She turned 95 this year!

A fun day with the family at the Harrison Lake lagoon.

This guy was so funny walking in the water for the first time.  He couldn't stop laughing!

An intense game of bocce.

Thanks Uncle Jeff and Grandpa for ice-cream!

One morning we all went to Kraus Farms (where Kaden worked for the summer) to eat breakfast.

Nathan and Sarah had us over for a yummy picnic.

Beach volleyball day at Spanish Banks.

Cheering squad.

Oh how our lives how changed since 10 years ago when we were roommates in college!

A belated birthday celebration for Anders.

Cousin sleepover in the cabin.
Getting a good photo of everyone is always hard when you have a baby in the mix!

Taking Great Grandma for a walk.
What's coming?!

Dessert from Grandma!

Saying goodbye to Great Grandma and trying out her remote-control chair :)

95 and 5.  It's a good combination.

And, what's a visit to Canada without a trip to Tim Horton's?!  We may have sent all of the following pictures to Bryon just to make him jealous :)

Finally conquering a lifelong fear of the "tractor", only to discover just how amazingly fun it is :)

And here we are...asleep and flying home to Colorado and daddy.  Canada, we miss you but we left with so many good memories and we'll be back!
