April 2015 - Part 1

Oh my, I still haven't posted about April, and here it is June 2.  Wayyy behind as usual, but here we go!
April was full of crazy munchkins, family adventures, a bit more sickness, Easter and a visit from my brother so tonight we'll just take a look at the first half of the month.

Ahh, the life of a younger sibling - always wanting what your older sibling has.  If you're lucky though, your older sibling just might share :)

Attempting to make our back hedge slightly less hornet-friendly so we don't get stung every time we mow our grass.

Easter

More egg-hunting at Papa and Gramma's after church.

It's so fun to watch Kai be the leader on days when I'm the parent helper at preschool.  Here he is planting seeds.

Silly boys made this the background on my phone :)

An evening of frisbee golf.

Bryon was living the dream, having Kai intently watch March Madness with him.

Meeting friends at the store and getting to shop together is way more fun than just shopping with mom. :)

Preschool field trip to Centennial Village.

Learning to play some old-fashioned games.

Poor Anders...another fever.

Bryon told me that before we had kids he expected this to be how our kids would sit with him all the time...ha!

Oh my.

Snowball fight at Bear Lake.

In his element, climbing rocks and exploring.

When did he get so big?!

Playing the piano at Gramma's house.

His very own home-grown Chia Pet.

This guy makes waking up at 6:30 worth it.

Sometimes Bryon likes to dress the kids up to mimic current sporting events.
Crazy hair boy!

The Denver Museum of Science and Nature where Gramma and Papa got us a family membership.  Guess what Kai's favorite exhibit was? ;)

Diagramming in his fossil journal.

Shopping is always a good time with these two, and shockingly we haven't yet broken anything or knocked anyone over yet.

March 2015

March, oh March.  I'm kind of glad you're over and done with.  The flu sucking the life out of me for a week combined with angel-baby turned monster-teething-baby screaming more than any of us liked made for some rough times.  But, March also consisted of some fun like skiing, skiing, and more skiing, mixed in with a few other things ;)

Guys' ski trip 2015 - Taos, New Mexico
Good thing Bryon learned how to play Crokinole at my parents' house in January :)

Meanwhile, the boys and I hung out at home and had some fun adventures like going to the Greeley model train museum.

Kai was such a big helper all weekend.
Enjoying the beautiful weather we've been having.  Aww Colorado sunshine, I had no idea how much I would love you.

Basketball with a soccer ball.  We're cool like that.

Preschool field trip to King Soopers.

Picnic at Kai's favorite park with friends.

Enjoying our big bucket of sidewalk chalk that was a going away gift from one of our neighbors in Portland.
First black run!  So proud of how far this boy has come with his willingness to try new things and face his fears this year.

Skiing with friends is one of Kai's favorite things.

Taking one of his church buddies skiing for the first time.
And another one!  Kai's becoming quite the A-Basin tour guide :)
This guy has been causing all kinds of chaos around here.

So proud of his abilities to get into anything and everything :)

A favorite place to stand and watch life go by.
First time sitting in the cart.  Such a big boy!
A lovely Sunday afternoon in Boulder.

This is what we looked like while I was sick...me curled/wrapped up on the couch, with the boys glued to cartoons which were on way too much.  Pure survival mode.
The boys escaped the house a lot while I slept/recovered.

Silly boy!

Kai loves to dress him and Anders in their matching clothes.

Nothing like a good old wrestling match with your brother.

Hiking at Horsetooth Reservoir.
