The Rest of July

Life has been just a little bit crazy for our whole family these past couple of months.  New baby, moving, new job, still doing a bit of contract work for his old job, a family wedding, getting sick and on top of all of that, semi-renovating the house we moved into here in Greeley.
So thankful for grandparents who've babysat for us a bunch, and let us stay in their home as we've worked on all of our projects and attempted to settle in.

Anyways, here's July...the good, the bad and the ugly.

A few days after arriving in Greeley, Bryon began pulling up the carpet in our living room.  Meanwhile Anders slept away on the couch in the middle of complete chaos.  Thank goodness for newborn sleep habits!

Our room, which used to be our nephew's room - thus the blue/brown stripes on the wall which finally got painted over this past weekend.
Late nights ripping up more carpet in the boys' room.
The exterior.

Thankful for a kitchen with a working stove and garbage disposal :)

Our backyard.

It was so fun to escape house projects and spend a day celebrating Lisa's (Bryon's sister's) wedding.
What a beautiful day (which I completely neglected to capture on camera).

We were laughing at how Anders looks like a mini Uncle Elmer :)

Lovely Auntie Lisa!

Great aunt Sherryn

Showing off his moves on the kids' dance floor.

The day after the wedding we escaped to the cooler mountains and had a mini family vacation.

Alluvial fan has changed so much since the flood last year.

That night we met up with Bryon's grandparents and a bunch of other Budensieks.  Here are Grandpa and Grandma with all of their great grandchildren.

A day at the Poudre River with friends.

Following in their dads' footsteps and floating the Poudre on pool mats :)

Thanks to grandparents we've gotten to go on a few dates since living here.

And what kind of post would this be without a bunch more random photos of the kids.
You're welcome mom!

A proud Canadian at one month old.

Brothers are so much fun.

Just hanging out at the rehearsal dinner.  What a great age to have to tote a baby around everywhere, while they sleep anywhere/everywhere/all the time!

Helping keep brother happy while we wait in the car for daddy.
Kai definitely loves being a big brother.

At the park just a couple of blocks from our house.

Fun times with cousins before they had to leave to go back to China.

Morning snuggles and laughs.  I wish I looked as happy as Anders does at 7 a.m.!

A cartographer after my own heart.

Bike park in Greeley.

These were Kai's picks for new paint colors in our house.  I told him he was welcome to choose his own paint colors someday when he had his own house :)

Such a sweet sleeper.

Love this guy!

Loves to laugh.

Working hard on holding up that big head and all that hair!
